Irina Shukhat

Following in the footsteps of her parents, Irina began her dance journey in the international latin and standard styles of dancing at the age of six in Odessa, Ukraine. Her journey continued in New York where she received training from some of the top coaches in the country. At the young age of 17, Irina packed her bags for Illinois to begin her career as a professional dancer. With over 20 years of dance experience, 15 years of teaching, and 10 years of studio ownership, Irina has become a highly regarded coach and mentor to dancers of all levels.

Jason Stewart
Assistant Manager

Jason was born in Flint, MI and was raised in Ann Arbor, MI. When he was 17 years old, his parents started taking ballroom classes and his mother insisted on showing him a few moves. He soon started taking dance lessons and loved every minute of it. A year later, Jason joined the Ballroom Dance Team at the University of Michigan, where he started his competitive career. Within a year, Jason was teaching weekly lessons for the University’s ballroom dance club. He moved to Illinois in 2007 to begin teaching ballroom dance full time. Jason loves working with his students and is very excited to be teaching at such a wonderful studio.
